Anastasia Feruleva is acclaimed as one of the most promising cellists of her generation. Her enthralling expressivity and authentic personality have vowed audiences throughout Europe. Joining compelling technical skills to a profound artistic eloquence, she is hailed by critics for her “convincing, passionate and captivating interpretations” and “organic phrasing and vivid intensity till the very last note..” (Frankfurter Zeitung).

Anastasia has performed in world-renowned halls including Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Muziekgebouw aan het IJ, Leidse Stadsgehoorzaal, Tivoli Vredenburg, St. Petersburg Philharmonic Hall, Salle Cortot Paris, Atheneum Bucharest, Liszt Academy Budapest, Euskalduna Concert Hall Bilbao.

As a soloist she has appeared with orchestra in a large range of concertos including Dvorak, Tchaikovsky, Schumann, Shostakovich, Haydn, Brahms and Lalo collaborating with orchestra’s like the Württembergische Philharmonie and the Noord Nederlands Orchestra.

An avid chamber musician, Feruleva frequently appears to such festivals as the Gstaad Menuhin Festival and Academy , International Chamber Music Festival Joao Pessoa Brazil, Orlando Festival, Storioni Festival, Giverny Chamber Music Festival. She collaborated with distinguished artists and ensembles such as Raphael Wallfisch, Michel Strauss, Philippe Graffin, Silke Avenhaus, Rick Stotijn, Vladimir Mendelssohn, Camerata RCO and the Atrium Quartett.

Season 2018-2019 is highlighted by performances of the Cello Concerto by Peteris Vasks in Muziekgebouw aan het IJ in Amsterdam, Great Guild Hall in Riga and the newly built GORS concert hall in Rezekne, where she collaborated with the composer himself, who highly praised her riveting and expressive interpretation.
Further on Anastasia gave in September 2018 an enthusiastically received recital in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam as part of the series “Young Masters on Tour”. In October 2018 her Debut CD Ballets Russes – hommage to Diaghilev appears on the label Gutman Records. She performs together with the highly acclaimed Dutch pianist Frank van de Laar works by Poulenc, Prokofiev, Borodin and Rimsky-Korsakov. The official presentation will take place on 4th of November in Paleiskerk in the Hague.

Born in 1992 in Archangelsk, Russia, Anastasia Feruleva started playing the cello at the age of five. She has performed in her native country from early childhood on, and her concert engagements have taken her since to Norway, Finland, Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, Poland, Romania, Brazil, and the Netherlands, where she has obtained her bachelor with Larissa Groeneveld at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague with 10 with distinction. In February 2018 she has finished her master studies with Troels Svane at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin with the highest mark Cum Laude.

In October 2018 her Debut CD Ballets Russes – hommage to Diaghilev appears on the label Gutman Records.

Furthermore her artistic development has been influenced and mentored by such illustrious artists as Ivan Monighetti, David Geringas, Gary Hoffman, Ralph Kirschbaum, Wolfgang-Emmanuel Schmidt, Jens-Peter Maintz, Reinhard Latzko, Arto Noras, Miklós Perényi, Antonio Meneses, Eberhard Feltz, and Raphael Wallfisch.

Anastasia has been awarded prizes in various competitions from a very early age. Recently she has been awarded the second prize and a prize for the best interpretation of the commissioned work on the National Cello Biennale competition 2016 in Amsterdam.

She plays a cello by Rombouts (1710), which has been given to her on loan.
